Chris Fascione delights family audiences with his comedic, interactive performance that combines comedy, mime, juggling, and storytelling to instill a love of books and reading.

This Madison community group is dedicated to playing and teaching Brazilian drumming. Josh and Tom will introduce various styles of music and audience members can play their hand at the drums, too!

Join us for a festive program that will include graham cracker houses, Wisconsin Dickens Carolers, and a holiday book display. The carolers will provide music history and country origins between musical selections. We will display literature that includes Charles Dickens as well as holiday stories from many cultures. All ages welcome!

This performance will be part of the Actively Aging Luncheons sponsored by Cambridge Activities Program (CAP). The quartet will consist of a clarinet, cello, piano, and violin/oboe. Klezmer music and music history will be provided as the audience enjoys the monthly meal.

Program Description

HMong music is the last surviving musical language in the world—it is able to mimic HMong speech by using musical intervals, ornamentation, and chords to mimic linguistic tones, consonants, and vowels—allowing musicians to literally speak with music.
