Drag Queen Storytime

In recognition of LGBT Pride Month in June, Madison Public Library will celebrate with thoughtful discussion, inclusive events, and expanded sessions of last year’s popular Drag Queen Storytime.

Bring your fabulous self and celebrate diversity, differences, and imagination through fun, age-appropriate stories, songs, and activities with local drag performers. 

Crafts and facepainting at 10 am, storytime at 10:30.

This program is intended for families with children of all ages, and grownups must be accompanied by a child.

This year, Great Scott's program is a great magic show with plenty of reading emphasis. Join him as he brings you another fantastic show with an emphasis on reading and library use. This show combines the fun of a magic show with a great message about being a better person. In short -- its gonna Rock!

Animals Rock!

Learn about their Education Animals and meet them up close! 

This “Zoo-To-You” outreach program is presented by Henry Vilas Zoo.

This program is part of the summer library program. It is generally well attended with a lot of interest.

 

Wisconsin Film Festival Kids Sneak Peek – To Latin America!

Get ready for the Wisconsin Film Festival's Big Screens for Little Folks films with a journey to Latin America! Watch some short films from the Wisconsin Film Festival and celebrate the arts, languages, and cultures of Latin America.  In addition to the short films, we'll have bilingual stories (Spanish & English), crafts, music, and snacks to enjoy.

This event is offered in partnership with the Wisconsin Film Festival & UW Madison Arts Institute and is funded in part from a grant from Beyond the Page.
