Open Mic: Loud 'n' Unchained Theater Company

Loud ‘n’ Unchained Theater company presents a series of writing workshops and open mic events centering Black, Indigenous and POC, Queer, Trans and Disabled writers and authors.  

Friday, August 5, 4-5:30pm Writing Workshop Led by Sean Avery Medlin (they/them) and Dj Femme Noir

Saturday, August 6, 5-8pm Open Mic Featuring by T.S. Banks and Dj Femme Noir

Theme: 808 and Otherworlds

Each open mic will feature a new QTBIPoC Disabled artist and and Live DJ. Sign up in advance to read or show up by 5:45 to sign up to read!

Beyond the Ingenue: Trailblazers

Beyond the Ingenue: Trailblazers will perform selections from the entire revue by local, professional actors of new works commissioned from songwriters. The cast, production team, and academic experts will also host a post show discussion on the process behind the project and cultural significance of these historical figures.

Places conjure vivid memories and experiences. Help document the unique history of the building known as Garver Feed Mill on Madison's East Side. Whether you played in the space as a child or a young adult; worked or visited there when the building housed the Garver Supply Co. or another agri-business; or were involved in more recent preservation and renovation efforts, now's the time to add your voice to this part of Madison history.
