Jessie Haas grew up on a small farm in Westminster, Vermont. Currently, she lives next door to the family farm with her husband, children’s author, Michael J. Daley, in a solar, off-grid house they built themselves. They have two cats, two horses and no kids.
Growing up, Jessie was a passionate reader, especially horse books. The early reader horse book, Little Black, A Pony, was her favorite bedtime story. She moved on to the classic horse books, like King of the Wind, and the Black Stallion, and now is the author of more than 10 children’s books about horses.
